The Shorinji Kempo Club meets for practice (summer schedule) on the following days:
Thursday Night at 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Sunday Morning at 10:00am to 12:00pm
All practices are in the Recreation Center at the FIU campus.
There is no fee associated with the club as all students of FIU are welcome to
join or observe the classes. We have students at all levels.
For Non-Students who wish to practice
For those people that wish to practice Shorinji Kempo and are not a student
at FIU, you will need to do the following to be able to practice.
Contact the FIU Alumi Association at 800-384-2586 and register with them. This
will cost $50.00 annually. They will send you a card. This card will allow you
to get a recreation facility card only. The recreation card will cost $5.00.
Contact the recreation center at 305-348-3910 or go in person to sign up with them.
You will eventually need a card but they will give you a receipt that will allow
you to practice with us get in until the card is processed. The cost for
the recreation center is $285.00 per year or $110.00 per semester.
